If you want to spend a bit more time making use of this new feature, then you can build new tools for your Tool Chest with predefined units of measure – and then you’ll be ready to tackle any job with a set of professional-looking markups! Remember to go through the steps for each of the measuring markup types – like Polylength, Area, Volume, Diameter, etc. STEP 4 To make this the “default” for all your measure markups, right-click the markup and select “Set as Default” STEP 3 To specify the number of decimal places, go to the scale/calibration dialogue box and set the “Precision” value. STEP 2 Select the markup, and on the “Properties” Toolbar, select “Units” and set your chosen type. STEP 1 Calibrate (or specify) the scale on a sheet and place a “measure” markup (dimension, polylength etc). If you just want to “ set the default scale“ and move on, follow these four steps: Unfortunately, this change causes some confusion because the units field disappeared from the scale calibration dialogue box. This is an improvement on previous releases where only one unit of measure could be set for a scaled sheet or view.
The measuring tools have received an update in version 20.2, allowing you to store the unit of measure as a property of the markup. Bluebeam Revu 20.2 arrived last month, and we’ve had several calls about the default units of measure.
